About Kayaking London

Kayaking London is a small team of dedicated and passionate coaches who boast a combined total of more than 25 years experience coaching on the Tidal Thames. It was the first kayaking facility to be awarded the Olympic 2012 Inspire Mark.

We offer a variety of trips, tours and bespoke experiences, which enable anyone to see London's iconic waterfront from kayaks. Based at the award-winning, purpose-built Cremorne Riverside Centre on the waterfront at Chelsea, we have easy access to view landmarks such as the Houses of Parliament and Tower Bridge.

At Kayaking London we aim to give all clients a high-end experience by providing the best quality equipment even at entry level. We are the only kayaking facility in London who provide top-of-the-range paddles for all clients. We have the largest fleet of stable, comfy, Perception double kayaks in the UK outside of the Armed Forces, as well as a range of high-spec sea kayaks and touring boats. Our buoyancy aids are top touring designs, and ensure a comfortable secure fit. We also provide cags and splash proof trousers to keep you warm and protect your personal clothing.

Youth and community work

Rooted in social responsibility, we reinvest everything made through Kayaking London into the invaluable youth and community work done with Epic CIC at the Cremorne Riverside Centre. We give young people the opportunity to explore the river, enjoy the natural environment and learn new skills along the way. Primarily focused on kayaking and building skills through participation and sport, we also offer the opportunity to gain accreditation along with building qualifications. We deliver a wide community programme and the centre is open to all ages. The facility operates all year round during term time and holiday periods and membership for the year is from £10 per year for young people.

The Centre

The Cremorne Riverside Centre is situated on the bank of the Thames in Chelsea. Designed by Sarah Wigglesworth, the purpose built facility opened in 2008 and was nominated for various architectural awards. The twin single-storey buildings are clad with Corten steel, giving the facility its unique appearance.

Modern changing facilities, complete with warm showers and cage style lockers, are available for all users. We are working closely with various partners with the aim of becoming a carbon-neutral facility.
